Ol' Saint Deadfolx's Xmas LOD Giveaway
Count me in! I was actually told off (in quite a nice way) for not using an LOD with my iPod when I posted in the rig pic thread. Clearly, I need one. I am also an impoverished student. Thanks for doing this; this kinda thing makes communities like these great- tom_s252

What's the word on low-profile LODs?
I've seen pics on here, occasional mentions, but my searching has led me down a few blind alleys. Who's making these, and can I have one?- tom_s252

Recommend some late 80's music
REM's Document and U2's Joshua Tree would count as two pivotal late 80s releases; if you don't know the bands, these are good places to start, explore from there. Equally, it's worth exploring the Madchester phenomenon; the first Stone Roses album is worth having. I don't enjoy much... -

Wish I could but I'm in the UK. Just bought some RE2s and am very impressed! They helped a hot train journey (including a trip through Birmingham New Street, ugh) fly by yesterday Good luck everyone!- tom_s252

What Is The Point?
For me, the combination of listening to a wide range of music and the relative weakness of the onboard iPod headphone amp means that I can't get enough volume. Older music that hasn't been compressed to within an inch of its life is rarely loud enough on its own if you're using anything that's...- tom_s252
