I just got the Tube Mini and it sounds pretty good. I have a question, though, I read that there may be some power or volume issues depending on the headphones you use with it. Because of this, should I just be taking the standard approach of outputting maxed-out volume from my streaming...

Aw dang. yeah, not really what I'm looking for. A streaming DAP that uses tubes and supports FIR is what I'm looking for. Guess the industry isn't at the point where economies of scale allow all those features to be implemented in a DAP at this price point.

Yeah, but it sounded to me like too much. I would describe it as sounding it's price, and definitely far from neutral. Bloomy bloated mid bass. But again, this is just a show floor impression. Background crowd noise etc can definitely cause a masking effect
