The Watercooler -- Impressions, philosophical discussion and general banter. Index on first page. All welcome.

I've been on a search for a killer set up to bring out a euphoric, lush, yet clear mid range. Digging through everything I have testing different pairings. So far, this is surfacing as amazing one of the best setups for singer songwriter (guitar/piano/male vocal) genre Dita Perputua Code 23...

Fir Audio Thread - Discussion and Impressions

The sliver cable ended being a too spicy for me. While it seemed to improve resolution I found it sharpened the high end to a point where "s" "t" on vocals got a little. I'll try code 24 next but still enjoying the stock cable

That's my next step, ironically. I have a Dita Celeste silver cable with my Perpetua that I'm going to try tonight with the XE6.

Fir Audio Thread - Discussion and Impressions

I've enjoyed the XE6 IEM but have struggled with the right pairing to create audio magic. Well, finally, I've created a pairing/settings that creates an amazing euphoric listening experience, that for me pulls the most out of what the XE6 can offer. My daily driver has been the RN6 with AK...

Fir Audio Thread - Discussion and Impressions

Loving my XE6 CIEM, recently been using the black atom module, with just a great seal on the fit I found this module offered a bit more air and soundstage with sacrificing the monstrous bass!

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I have both. Onyx comes at you with a big, well textured sub bass, bass, clean mids and treble that is prominent but has zero sharpness. It’s also emotive as you feel the music. I find the Onyx soundstage more out of your head, a bit more expansive. What’s impressive about Onyx is its...

The Watercooler -- Impressions, philosophical discussion and general banter. Index on first page. All welcome.

U12t was my first expensive audiophile purchase. At the time, I loved it so much I got a CIEM that everyone now and then I pull out and the tonality is just oh so right. I don't listen to it much, but it's a delight when I do. Technology has changed so much from when this IEM was launched...

    Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T

Okay spent some time with my ZMF headphones and both SP3K and Cayin and was pleasantly surprised with the results. My comparison was SP3K vs SP3KT tube and Cayin Classic tube mode. Quick observations: Cayin scaled more, I would say 50% volume gave me all the power I needed however at 75% power...

    Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T

I saw the bloom review after I pulled the trigger. I have no WiFi issues with any device in any room and by the pool but the SP3T just is not picking up any resemblance of an acceptable signal. I’ll try a firmware update if there is one. I feel like I’m using a MS/Intel 386 chipset in a PC!
