What is the best software to playback audio content?
I love the bloat free simple build of foobar, I have converted many people to it! The ease of locating music is probably my favorite feature.- stumbo

the be all end all: first sub 100$ open, unamped headphones
I personally love my AD700s, and for the money I think they are an incredible value. They are lacking in bass, no doubt, so if that is a priority, be aware.- stumbo

Need tips for competitive gaming on a budget
I am a competitive player, i am a well know CSS gungamer, if you ever want to play with me, hit me up. I currently play with the AD700s connected to my Zero Dac. The sound stage is excellent with these phones, and its not unusual for people to complain about how it is impossible for me to do...- stumbo

ATH AD700 to ATH A900 upgrade
I currently have the AD700s and have decided to upgrade to a set of denon D2000s. I wanted something with better quality and that sounded different from the 700s so that I would have some variety in my headphone collection. I felt like the d2000s have everything i wanted, without sacrificing...- stumbo

Reccomend $100~ cans for rock/alt/trance/electronic
Nice music selection. In that price range I personally love my AD700s, and would never hesitate to buy them again and include them in my collection. They lack the bass that you may be desiring, however some EQing has left me more than satisfied. When EQing i love these cans, the bass on is...- stumbo

Undecided - Gaming & Movies/Music headphones
Ive used the 701s, the w5000s and the ad700s. I would pick the ad700s with a small amp over my other phones for gaming any day, and I do, pretty much every day. If you every want to play css with a Gun Game pro, lemme know :P.- stumbo

AD700's - How to Improve?
Realtek sucks for sure. A cheapie ebay x-fi will be a nice upgrade, then when you have the money you can step up to something like the Zero Dac. I wasn't that impressed with my ad700s at first, but the more I listen to it and the better the source gets, the more that I like them.- stumbo

Need headphone recommendation - primarily for gaming and ~$150
I always recommend the Ad700 for gaming on a budget. They are great phones, great SQ, fit comfortably, excellent soundstate, good price (about $100) and run great without an amplifier. Search for them here at head-fi, you will be hard pressed to find a bad review.- stumbo

Buy ATH-AD700 over HD595? Speak up now!
Ive had my ad700s for a while now, and I can honestly say they blow away most headphones under 200 bucks. The bass although mild, is tight and fast, mids and highs are detailed, they are pretty easy to drive and they are very comfortable. I recommend they with a modded Zero Dac :P.- stumbo
