FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
I find the Moondrop Spring tips to be fairly grippy. I use these on my Grand Maestro which has a giant nozzle. You might give those a shot. They are pretty easy to find online.- Spyder15

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
It's the Venom. I purchased mine from MusicTeck. It only comes in the 4.4 connector on their site, but it does come in others if you look around. I've got a link of a Head-Fi review below which has more information. It may answer your other question. Strangely the Liquid Links website doesn't...- Spyder15

Here are some close ups of the shells. I'm a space junkie. These just hit the mark when I think about galaxies and nebulas, so this faceplate was just perfect. I'm no expert on these things, but from what I can hear going back and forth between the stock cable and the venom cable is pretty...- Spyder15

The Grand Maestro has arrived and I've been listening for about a week. Amazing is all I can say right off the bat. Still need to put many hours of listening in to give my full impressions. I have this paired with the Liquid Links Venom cable. About the only knock on this IEM is the giant...- Spyder15

I also have the R6 Pro 2 and love it for the Maestro Mini as well as the other IEMs I have on hand. Great first impression of a DAP I have to say.- Spyder15

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More
I have both the Gryphon and R6 Pro II and I'll say that I prefer the sound of the R6 Pro II to the Gryphon, but it's pretty minor. The only reason I use the Gryphon these days is to run full size headphones and for that sweet sweet bass boost. I prefer the DAP over the DAC/AMP style of the...- Spyder15

HiBy got back to me and provided me a link to the 1.20 software. I was able to update my firmware to this version and I can now confirm that everything seems to be working normally. I do see the amplification type in the status bar now. Very happy that things are working as intended as the sound...- Spyder15

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More
Factory reset did not do anything sadly. I've reached out to HiBy support. They are currently on holiday so it'll be a couple days before I hear from them. This is a real bummer that I'm having software issues now on two devices. Both of which appear to function from a hardware level standpoint...- Spyder15

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More
I clicked the three dots and clicked Clean up the cache. That didn't result in a new firmware update. I'll report back after I do a factory reset and see if that changes anything. At this point though, I'm wondering if I should force an update through a local version now seeing this menu. I...- Spyder15

I'll try a factory reset after work. I'm using it to get through the day as the device works fine otherwise. Can you confirm the version in your System > System Update menu?- Spyder15

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More
So I have had my replacement unit in hand for about a week now and everything seems to be functioning fine with one little difference. The top display no longer shows the Class A or Class AB in the status bar like the old one did. Is anyone also seeing this? I'm also noticing that I can't get...- Spyder15

Hopefully you receive yours soon! I'm in the same boat. Ordered May 1st and still waiting. Have been told a couple times it would be done at one point and those times have passed. I know this team is slammed with orders, so I'm patiently waiting. I was going to hit them up again at the end of...- Spyder15

HiBy confirmed that my unit is defective. MuiscTeck will be getting me a replacement. Shipping out the old one today. Will report back once the new unit is in, and this time I'll be sure to test all the ports right away.- Spyder15
