Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions

It is not just about the H2 chip missing on iPhone. Vision Pro can get lossless mainly due to proximity to the AirPods (practically stuck to each other on someone's face). Also in Vision Pro zero latency is very important due to the 3D nature of the experience. Both above conditions are not...

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions

It was draining before but it behaves normally after software and version updates. That is just my experience though, I don't know if it is relevant to others. I am sure though they fixed it with software.

This problem has been resolved for me after iOS 17 and APP2 version 6A301. The case does not drain anymore.

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions

I never had the XM3 but I own the XM5 as well as the APP2, and it's true that I prefer XM5's sound quality to the one of the APP2, even without EQ (I use it both with and without EQ according to the music mainly). Also the XM5 has a really remarkable ANC performance as well as 100% responsive...

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions

XM5 is very good though. No squeaky plastic as well, very comfortable, light, top notch ANC, good/acceptable SQ, much better mids and bass than previous model, everything solid.

    Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling

The XM4 was a different case, it was indeed uncomfortable to me as well. But the XM5 is so light and easy on the top of my head as well as on the ears that there is really no comparison to any other headphone I have used. Of course YMMV...

    Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling

To me, XM5 is the most comfortable headphone I ever had. I can wear for hours without feeling any fatigue. So to each his own...As you can see Sony designers cannot satisfy all heads!:-)

For sure the APP2 beat all those buds, including the Sony ones, not only as an overall package but for just sound quality as well. The problem is that this package is not there in full for you on android. So, if you compare the 30% of APP2 package that you may get on android with the 100% of a...

I was using Sony WF buds for a while and both controls and transparency were fine by me. To me those reasons are not enough to justify, but of course to each his own!

I don't think there is any reason to use AirPods on android. There are many really good wireless ANC headphones by Sony, Sennheiser, B&O etc. On android you don't have same AAC bluetooth sound quality as on iPhone, but you have AptX etc which AirPods do not support. So AirPods sound will be kind...

Good for you, but still I do not hear any "artificial aspect" on the treble of my APM, and I have quite good hearing...

Sorry, but I don't hear anything like that on my APM. Do you own the APM?

    AirPods Max

What does it mean synthetic and metallic? When music calls for it they will present a metallic sound, I guess. But a general metallic sound, on all music types, I do not quite understand and I never heard something like that on the APM. On the opposite, I would call them quite warm sounding...

Doesn't make any sense. Bluetooth AAC transmission is the same across all Apple devices, but of course to each his own! if you hear the difference then ok!
