Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions
It is not just about the H2 chip missing on iPhone. Vision Pro can get lossless mainly due to proximity to the AirPods (practically stuck to each other on someone's face). Also in Vision Pro zero latency is very important due to the 3D nature of the experience. Both above conditions are not...- SparkOnShore

It was draining before but it behaves normally after software and version updates. That is just my experience though, I don't know if it is relevant to others. I am sure though they fixed it with software.- SparkOnShore

I never had the XM3 but I own the XM5 as well as the APP2, and it's true that I prefer XM5's sound quality to the one of the APP2, even without EQ (I use it both with and without EQ according to the music mainly). Also the XM5 has a really remarkable ANC performance as well as 100% responsive...- SparkOnShore

XM5 is very good though. No squeaky plastic as well, very comfortable, light, top notch ANC, good/acceptable SQ, much better mids and bass than previous model, everything solid.- SparkOnShore

Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling
The XM4 was a different case, it was indeed uncomfortable to me as well. But the XM5 is so light and easy on the top of my head as well as on the ears that there is really no comparison to any other headphone I have used. Of course YMMV...- SparkOnShore

Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling
To me, XM5 is the most comfortable headphone I ever had. I can wear for hours without feeling any fatigue. So to each his own...As you can see Sony designers cannot satisfy all heads!:-)- SparkOnShore

For sure the APP2 beat all those buds, including the Sony ones, not only as an overall package but for just sound quality as well. The problem is that this package is not there in full for you on android. So, if you compare the 30% of APP2 package that you may get on android with the 100% of a...- SparkOnShore

I was using Sony WF buds for a while and both controls and transparency were fine by me. To me those reasons are not enough to justify, but of course to each his own!- SparkOnShore

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions
I don't think there is any reason to use AirPods on android. There are many really good wireless ANC headphones by Sony, Sennheiser, B&O etc. On android you don't have same AAC bluetooth sound quality as on iPhone, but you have AptX etc which AirPods do not support. So AirPods sound will be kind...- SparkOnShore

What does it mean synthetic and metallic? When music calls for it they will present a metallic sound, I guess. But a general metallic sound, on all music types, I do not quite understand and I never heard something like that on the APM. On the opposite, I would call them quite warm sounding...- SparkOnShore

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions
You need to try all sizes and stick with the smaller tips giving good seal in the ear fit test. APP2 grips much better than version 1 but you need to go with smaller tips than what you usually apply since they need to go as deep as possible. No worries about complete physical seal since the new...- SparkOnShore

APP2 fits much better than previous version. Silicon tips also are somehow different and more stable. With the new skin detection sensor it just needs to be close to the ear to activate ANC, so there is no need for 100% perfect seal. It is airy, absolutely comfortable and light as feather. The...- SparkOnShore

Yes of course, but at the expense of comfort. Traditional iems offer passive isolation by entering deep inside the ear canal which as a result causes ear pain, discomfort, itching and fatigue after around 1 hour of continuous usage. APP2 offer great ANC and at the same time being comfortable...- SparkOnShore

For how long have you been owning the APM and how often do you use them? I believe that after 2 years of continuous usage it will happen to everybody since no special problem was present to the canopy mesh of mine and I have always been treating them quite carefully. Update: Apple Athens/Greece informed me that most probably they will replace my APM due to this loosen canopy issue. They just gave me back the magnetic ear pads and the case and they kept the headphone itself for further investigation. Not sure yet, because they say they have not faced such a...- SparkOnShore

Regarding this issue I would like your opinion; could this also be valid for third party headphones? Meaning, could Sennheiser, Sony or Bose who claim they have AAC on their devices, present a subpar implementation like some Android phones?- SparkOnShore

The canopy mesh headband on mine got completely loosen, as a result both iron bar parts touch on the head and it is rather disturbing. I will check with Apple if the issue is accepted for a replacement but it generally seems this mesh headband is not that durable after all.- SparkOnShore
