    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Update: so I bought some JVC tips from eBay (auction link), but they offer no improvement on the bundled Sennheiser tips.  I was thinking perhaps the JVC tips I bought aren't the real deal - anyone care to comment?   The single flange medium tips were working well for me, but all of a...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Received my IE 80s from Amazon.   The only tips that really work for me are the medium single flange that are already loaded on the IE 80s out of the box.   I've been reading this thread and it seems that JVC tips are in most respects better than the bundled Sennheiser tips.   Does anyone...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

I've destroyed two pairs of Klipsch (X10i and more recently, X10s) by using them at the gym. I need good sound quality whilst doing my workouts, and my reasoning with the IE 80s is that if the cable becomes damaged, it's relatively cheap to buy a replacement stock cable. Am I right in thinking...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

I've made enquiries with the Amazon customer service bods but regrettably, they don't seem very astute to the matter.   On a separate note I'm planning on getting the IE 80s primarily for use in the gym.  Would anyone have concerns about them being used whilst weightlifting etc?  I'm not...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Both products are "dispatched from and sold by Amazon".  Amazon itself is an authorised Sennheiser dealer right?   Going back to my original question, is there more than one model/version/revision of the IE 80.  Why is Amazon (itself) selling one pair at £185.99 and the other at £229.99?

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Hi, can someone help me?  I'm looking to buy some IE 80s from Amazon.co.uk, but there are two different products on there:   1. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-IE-80-In-Ear-Headphones/dp/B005N8W27I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1378653837&sr=8-2&keywords=sennheiser+ie80   Product details...

Klipsch Image X10i dying - please suggest repair options

Update, almost one year to the day after last posting.   I was not able to get my Klipsch X10i with the frayed jack plug repaired, due to the cable being so thin and fragile.  I therefore sold the headphones as spares or repair on eBay and, because I liked the Klipsch sound so much...

Does anyone know where I can get the jack connector on my headphones replaced in the UK?

Klipsch Image X10i dying - please suggest repair options

Unfortunately after quite a few coats of liquid tape on the X10i's I've lost sound in one ear. I need to get the jack connector replaced, and would be grateful If someone could suggest a suitable repair shop in the UK.

Thanks, who offers re-shell?  What could I do about the inline remote?  would liquid electrical tape work on it?

Klipsch Image X10i dying - please suggest repair options

I have a pair of Klipsch Image X10i which I purchased from eBay in March last year.  Unfortunately these excellent little headphones developed the dreaded problem where the cable comes away from the jack connector some months ago.  I pursued Klipsch to repair the headphones but was shirked off...
