Review: Sensaphonics Custom Sleeves in Crystal Blue for the Shure SE846
moedawg: great review! Prompted me to pull the gun on the SCSs for my Se846. Question - have you experienced any intermittent sound drop outs, due to sweat getting in contact with the MMXC connectors?? I agree with your review - sweat is not an issue at all inside the ear canal. However, even... -
Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Same exact thing happened to me... after few months left side started to have intermittent drop out and degraded sound quality/ channel balance problems. Spent $45 bucks on Deoxit Red and Gold, cleaned everything but no dice. Finally sent back to Shure for replacement (this was few weeks ago)...- Optiplex

Head-Fiers- was hoping to get some suggestions. iBasso D10 w/ Turntable Question
I'll be buying a Pro-Ject Debut III turntable soon as was curious if there is a way to utilize the iBasso D10 with it... I'm not certain if this is possible? Does anyone currently have a set-up such as this where a turntable is connected to a Portable Headphone Amp as opposed to a...- Optiplex

Audioengines a2 vs...
The KRK RP5g2 and Mackie MR5 are both sold as a single speaker....so, the $150 bucks you are coming across is only for one monitor. $300 bucks will buy you a pair. Audioengine A2s run $199 for both speakers.- Optiplex

Nuforce Mobile Icon
Speaking from personal experience, I tried the Nuforce Icon Mobile out for 3 months, then sold it...decided to go with the iBasso D10 (although the D10 is NOT a budget amp). My headphone inventory is the SE530 (IEM) and the Denon AH-D2000. The DAC on the Nuforce was great, and was able to...- Optiplex

ARCHOS 5 Internet Tablet !
The high capacity, video playback and web browsing are top notch...no complaints whatsoever. Nice form factor as well. If, however, you are looking for a device primarily for music playback, there are MUCH better sounding options out there.- Optiplex

ARCHOS 5 Internet Tablet !
I have the Archos 5 (non-android version) and while the SQ is heads above the old Archos 604...it still is not as good as it should be. Case in point, the SQ of the Archos 5 is not nearly as good as my Sansa Clip (2Gig). I use the Sansa for all my musical purposes, and the Archos 5 for video...- Optiplex

iBasso D10. .UPDATES 1st page, with Current Opamp Choices by HiFlight . . . images page 1, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 71
I just noticed on the iBasso website that they changed the coupling caps from NCC ASF to Nichicon MUSE FX on the newest batch....any idea how this would (positively or negatively) impact the sound/ signature? Thanks.- Optiplex

UPDATED 2/22 REVIEW 13 USB DAC amp - Predator, Pico, 2/3MOVE, D10 D3 D2 Viper/Boa D1, Lyrix, MicroAmp, Vivid V1, Nuforce, XM5
Hi All- I've been following this thread and am considering getting the D10. My question is, will the D10's DAC be on par with, say, a desktop DAC such as the Cambridge Audio DACMAgic or the Compass DAC? I'll primarily be using the DAC at a desk, so portability (or lack thereof) is not an...- Optiplex
