I can't say much about the Dekoni pads as I've never heard them, but I've replaced the pads on my LCD-XC from 2014 with new ones from Audeze and I'm very satisfied with them.

Do they actually sound bad now? If they still sound good when you use them, there's likely no damage. I suggest using them normally for a few weeks to confirm.

I downloaded the plugin, installed it, then downloaded the wav file. but I don't see how to load it into the plugin since there's no option for that - I tried dragging the wav file on the plugin, but got an error message.

To my ears, the GS2000e is better that the GS1000i, at least for the music I listen to - tighter bass, more midrange, solid highs. I compared extensively my GS1000i to a new pair of GS2000e at the store with samples of music I listen to and found it more natural sounding. I don't regret buying...

I have a similar problem with my integrated amp headphone out - when I use my LCD-XC or my Nighthawk, I hear a low frequency rumble in the background. It doesn't change when I increase the volume. When I use my Grado GS2000e, I don't hear it.

I've been using the same Grado adapter for several years with different mobile devices and have had no problem at all.

Products in that price range should offer at least a 5-year warranty.

Out of curiosity, what's the colour of the metal housing on your XC? Black or Grey? I bought mine in late 2014 and it's Grey - I've never seen an image of a similar model, it's always black.

Hi, The original single-ended cable included with my 2014 XC is failing (the signal cuts intermittently when the cable flexes at the 6.4 mm connector side). Beside the basic cable that Audeze currently offers, are there other options? I just want a basic single-ended copper cable.
