I can't say much about the Dekoni pads as I've never heard them, but I've replaced the pads on my LCD-XC from 2014 with new ones from Audeze and I'm very satisfied with them.

Do they actually sound bad now? If they still sound good when you use them, there's likely no damage. I suggest using them normally for a few weeks to confirm.

I downloaded the plugin, installed it, then downloaded the wav file. but I don't see how to load it into the plugin since there's no option for that - I tried dragging the wav file on the plugin, but got an error message.

To my ears, the GS2000e is better that the GS1000i, at least for the music I listen to - tighter bass, more midrange, solid highs. I compared extensively my GS1000i to a new pair of GS2000e at the store with samples of music I listen to and found it more natural sounding. I don't regret buying...

I have a similar problem with my integrated amp headphone out - when I use my LCD-XC or my Nighthawk, I hear a low frequency rumble in the background. It doesn't change when I increase the volume. When I use my Grado GS2000e, I don't hear it.

I've been using the same Grado adapter for several years with different mobile devices and have had no problem at all.

Products in that price range should offer at least a 5-year warranty.

Out of curiosity, what's the colour of the metal housing on your XC? Black or Grey? I bought mine in late 2014 and it's Grey - I've never seen an image of a similar model, it's always black.

Hi, The original single-ended cable included with my 2014 XC is failing (the signal cuts intermittently when the cable flexes at the 6.4 mm connector side). Beside the basic cable that Audeze currently offers, are there other options? I just want a basic single-ended copper cable.

Didn't really noticed a difference quite frankly, they sounded good from the start.

I have both and except for the different length (15 ft for the 4-wire, 12 ft for the 8-wire), I find no differences.

I'm still using them, the sound didn't noticeably change - I did buy a replacement pair of hybrid pads tought, as well as a pair of pleather and a pair of ultrasuede. The pleather portion of the original hybrid pads is still in good shape.

I've had a pair since 2014 and have no problem with the headband or the suspension system. The only part that's actually worn out is the ultrasuede lining inside the hybrid pads.

I have a similar issue with my Yamaha integrated headphone amp - According to the manual, the output impedance is 32 Ohms. When I use my NightHawk or my LCD-XC (both around 25 Ohms), I can hear a very slight low frequency buzz in the background. With my Grado GS2000e (32 Ohms), I don't hear...

I currently use a 128mb card with my FIIO X3 II dap. Is it possible to use a 256 mb card or even a 512 one? Has someone already tried such cards with this dap?

If your amp has bass and trebel controls, simply add some bass and treble when listening at low level, e.g. I set the bass at 14:00 and the treble at 13:00 (12:00 being the neutral position) when listening to music early in the morning or late in the evening.
