Is there an Abyss TC somewhere? Yesterday's highlights were the Raal SR1a (summit fi performance even out of a single Vidar and was great speaking with Danny) and Headamp stand (BHSE/009S & GSX Mini).

The SR1a comes with its own adapter box. The headphones impedance is way too low to connect to amps directly.

Indeed my experience with some DACs is digital volume control can cause a smoother/softer sound. So depending on one's perspective that can be a good thing or not. That said I did not try the LA/HPA4 as a preamp in my system. But I will try one eventually.
