Would it make sense to put together a tube compatibility spreadsheet for the Aegis, similar to what @Zachik did for the GOTL? Probably a lot of work initially, but it would probably save a lot of time in the long term.

Not only beautiful, but your headphones would keep the moths away as well Blacklight activated headphones?!? Oh man! I'm not sure they'd ever actually make it onto my head.

The Merason should be up to speed in under an hour. I usually let my system warm up for an hour or two prior to listening. As far as r2r dacs go, I give the same warm up time to the Pontus 2 12th as well, but I'm probably leaving money on the table doing that. You can use it while it's...

It does have a fan that makes a faint sound, but only when charging from the wall, dunno about solar charging. The fan doesn't come on when not charging. Once the charge is complete I unplug the charging cable and only turn the battery on when I'm listening

I really like Lessloss cables, but like anything in audio, synergy is king. Lessloss cables are warm, spacious with excellent staging depth. Not cheap. Amplifier Surgery makes some good, inexpensive (relatively) cables, but silver plated. Not bright, nor strident etched or bass light. I have...

IIRC, Bluetti has a five year warranty, while the others did not. Also it was on sale for 1399.00 over the holidays. Reg 1999.99. If you order directly from Bluetti I think they are down to 1399 at the moment.

AFAIK it's advisable not to leave it charging unattended, which I do not. Other than that I just use common sense when using it and thus far, knock on wood, I haven't had any issues.

A different method to tackle a problem. I admittedly did not come up with this idea on my own, rather @zach915m was the one who suggested I look into this solution. A very long story short, I had my PSAudio Dectet looking like a Tesla coil, sparks shooting this way and that, which in turn...

Yep. Back in the day there weren't too many HP amps out there that could drive it, and those that could drive the HE6 were not cheap. These days there are plenty of amps that can manhandle those power hungry beasts, so really there is no need to go the speaker tap route anymore.

I had an OG Lampi TRP up until about a year ago. I never had any issues with it in the four years I owned it. I'd say that Lampis are great DACs, but lack treble extension, regardless of which tubes I had in place. Imaging is otherwordly though. The only advice I can give is if you own a tube...

When I had my pair I speaker tapped a 115 wpc vintage receiver. I've still yet to hear another headphone slam with that much malicious intent.

Swapped out the stock hybrid pads today for the thin protein pads, and I'm rather enjoying them. They def have a faster and snappier presentation. Additionally i feel like the bass, both mid and sub seem to be slightly elevated as well as a slight elevation in treble. On the downside, the thin...

The Masher is actually quite a nice sounding tube, at least it was in my Lampizator DAC. The fact that they're cheap as dirt helps too
