QUAD ERA-1 Thread
The Quad with some third party Focal pads is really something special too. The Focal pads are flat too but get them with perforated leather and the midrange and timbre become stellar compared to the stock hybrid pads. None of the cavernous sound of the stock leather pads either.- mobbaddict

Audeze SINE Series
Interesting. I don't have a balanced amp but my observation with planars (at least easy to drive ones) is that more power does bring more control and speed but not necessarily more body or punch. My planars (that includes the Sine and the Quad Era-1 for instance) sound more ethereal out of the...- mobbaddict

PLANAR IEMs fans thread-Impressions, suggestions, ranking list, techs
Did a bit of measurement research and find it interesting how close the Timeless are to the F1 with gold filters (just slightly more v-shaped): Out of all planar IEMs on the market these two seem to be the closest to the Etymotic curve above 1khz (minus the 8khz peak): Take 6db off the...- mobbaddict

Best IEM tips?
What's the tips with the best timbre in your collection? Out of mine I feel like the Epros are the ones that convey the most realistic timbre with the OG Timeless. Azla/Spinfit/etc can sound very balanced but often have a fake timbre. I'm wondering what's the best material to get the best...- mobbaddict

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
You could also try aftermarket pads. I like the Dekoni perforated leather pads on the HD600, they keep a great balance with deeper bass (however I think that perforations generally also alter the soundstage and presence of a headphone in a bad way).- mobbaddict

Best IEM tips?
Not sure but some of them look like Acoustune AET07 and AET16... Some of the Acoustune tips I got with my OG Timeless are really good by the way, sound has more texture then a lot of well known tip brands which often sound plasticky (that includes that JVC Spiral Dots which are overrated IMO). I...- mobbaddict

The New Tangzu Audio Zetian Wu Planar In-Ear Monitor
I have a question regarding Heyday vs OG Timeless: I understand based on the graphs and reviews that the Heydays should have more controlled bass, but what about the treble? Frequency response is very similar in the top end and I don't hear a noticeable difference in the YouTube demos. Are they...- mobbaddict

Audeze SINE Series
Yeah but I'm wondering if Vesper Audio could accommodate a special request if you asked them. Anyway good luck with the legal issue. On the same topic I've been wondering if Europe could force manufacturers to use standard dimensions and fixation systems for earpads to facilitate spare parts...- mobbaddict
