The Audio Lounge
I've missed all the Windows 11 talk. I'll probably get it next year, I just don't feel like bothering with installing it in my current system. My PC's 4th gen Intel and it's working just fine. If I build it next year, my CPU/motherboard will be 10 years old - Midgetguy

WOW: Just finally got a listen to the HarmonicDyne Helios. Not a bad-sounding headphone, seems worth the $80 I paid for it. Not going to replace either of my current ones, but I think it should do well in replacing the Superlux my buddy bought all those years ago when were mere poor college...- Midgetguy

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I barely pay attention to those frequency spec listings; I doubt I could hear above probably 18kHz if I bothered to do a sine sweep. The higher and lower frequencies do have an effect I think, but nothing that I could say I hear, more like something I kinda feel (and how reliable and tangible...- Midgetguy

That's interesting. Haven't seen tube toxicity as a metric yet. I wonder if it's just because no one has lived through testing that measurement, could still be a valid test.- Midgetguy

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I've beaten you in time, old friend :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. It took me a mere 4 years or so to decide not to bother much with seeing if I want to replace my HD600. It will firmly be my main headphone for the foreseeable future (I've got a TH-X00 if I'm feeling like some more bass, but...- Midgetguy

Feels like it's been ages, love seeing the group's been having a great time in the lounge :beerchug: I'll probably go to Win11 when I build a new computer, probably next year or two. Towards the end of next year is when the core of my computer (processor/motherboard) will be 10 years old. In the...- Midgetguy

Aw crap, I missed the 2000 page party, haven't been here in such a long time, hope everyone's been having a good time! My computer won't go to Windows 11 (at least not via autoupdate) cuz the core of it is 9 years old. Ah yes, back in the day when 4c/8t was the top of the pile. Beautiful R34...- Midgetguy

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I'm usually a gray/black matte finish kinda guy for most stuff, but the original navy marble finish of the HD600 is more appealing to me. If there's a choice between the HD600 original vs HD600 drivers in the frame of the current HD660S, I prefer the look of the original - Midgetguy

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone
Sounds like a decently good time to look forward to in my book :beerchug:. The other night I spent an hour going back and forth on them because I had originally just intended to get them charged and check that they worked fine before giving them to my friend the next day. The reason I say to...- Midgetguy

If you don't like them, you don't like them. Not everyone does, but a lot of people do (as you've clearly seen in this thread). At the very least, I feel like you've just had horrible luck with the lifespan of your Sennheisers. My bro has an HD650 and I have an HD600, both of which have been...- Midgetguy

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone
Yeah your set doesn't sound put together somewhere. I've had no problem with charging mine, always used a 2a charger (I've plugged in my 3.7a phone charger to it before and at least know that doesn't work). I overall do like the sound of the Oras quite a bit more than my Pandas stock to stock...- Midgetguy

I use a set of BGVP Q2s if I'm using a wireless IEM. No ANC or any fancy features, but they sound pretty good and were very affordable. I'm not a fan of ear guides that have wires in them. I've had IEM cables where there's still a guide on it, but it's purely heatshrink so it truly is a guide...- Midgetguy

I listened to some Grado SR325is at one point and some custom Grado-style build. I recall the SR325i not quite being my cup of tea for more than just comfort reasons. That custom build sounded better, but there was certainly enough not to like that I stuck with my venerable HD600 and a TH-X00...- Midgetguy
