Review: Violectric HPA V200 amp
i bought the vioelectric to drive my first gen t1 (sweet) and Hd800 (pure copper upgrade; stock cable was a bit too forward in the highs for me) and it is fantastic. especially so for the Hd800 lots of control and finesse even at low volumes. recently acquired the utopias and the vioelectric...- metalgear

Audeze LCD-2 "Vegan" Earpads - feedback, installation & mini-review
same here. Long term quality - and possibly reliability (specs) - seems to be poor for very costly headphones. I should know i have both the Lcd2 and Lcd3! (and hesitating with and Lcd4 though i caved in and got the isines)- metalgear

galaxy s5 vs sony z2 in audio capabilities?
new dac in the s5 but that direct USB out option from the Z2 is also very appealing. if this is software enabled someone might just find a workaround for the s5.- metalgear

Review: Audinst HUD-mx1 USB DAC/amp
the price of the mx-1 was too good to pass off so i went along and got one of ebay, direct from audinst. out cold of the box it was a poor first impression - crackly, light and tinny - but after three days it managed to "wake up" and I am driving on AC power with my d700, HD800, LCDs with...- metalgear

SILEO - The Battery Powered Balanced HP/PREAMP (w/ optional USB in) from Human Audio (Made in Europe)
cool .... reeks of "very high end"....can't wait for the measurement details but already anticipate it to work with the LCDs and HE's, Hd800 and T1 etc... but since you asked :) tell us more about your sound signature - I know every fine audio equipment purveyor claims "neutrality", when...- metalgear

How much DC offset would you consider harmful to HP and after which point would you throw the commercial amp out?
still going through the thread to get my head around the science behind this (and the dangers!) but keep going guys... really ground break stuff. just one quick question - would you think that it would be possible to create a "magic box" that gives users control over some of the key...- metalgear
