same here. Long term quality - and possibly reliability (specs) - seems to be poor for very costly headphones. I should know i have both the Lcd2 and Lcd3! (and hesitating with and Lcd4 though i caved in and got the isines)

looking at either of these phones as an upgrade.   they're both very similar for phone functions, samsung edges it for me for the camera and fingerprint sensor ....but sony has the bigger battery that is so promising . anyone has any details about hardware inside?

yeah i'd agree that the Audinst has the best feature range and the best looker of the lot.   you made a point of the better AC adaptor making a difference on one of the units - just wondering if this has been a neglected part of the chain.   lots of sensitive auidio devices have emphasized...

have you manage to test the audinst with an upgraded power supply yet? what would you recommend?

i think the lcd2.1 has been overshadowed by its predecessor the 2.2 and the 3.   simply put it was the model that put LCD on the highend headphone map.   sure it has its particular sound signature, but for folks who go for that smoky night club scene for that female vocalist, IMHO in this...
