    Review: Violectric HPA V200 amp

i bought the vioelectric to drive my first gen t1 (sweet) and Hd800 (pure copper upgrade; stock cable was a bit too forward in the highs for me) and it is fantastic. especially so for the Hd800 lots of control and finesse even at low volumes. recently acquired the utopias and the vioelectric...

    Audeze LCD-2 "Vegan" Earpads - feedback, installation & mini-review

same here. Long term quality - and possibly reliability (specs) - seems to be poor for very costly headphones. I should know i have both the Lcd2 and Lcd3! (and hesitating with and Lcd4 though i caved in and got the isines)

galaxy s5 vs sony z2 in audio capabilities?

new dac in the s5     but that direct USB out option from the Z2 is also very appealing. if this is software enabled someone might just find a workaround for the s5.

galaxy s5 vs sony z2 in audio capabilities?

looking at either of these phones as an upgrade.   they're both very similar for phone functions, samsung edges it for me for the camera and fingerprint sensor ....but sony has the bigger battery that is so promising . anyone has any details about hardware inside?

    Review: Audinst HUD-mx1 USB DAC/amp

the price of the mx-1 was too good to pass off so i went along and got one of ebay, direct from audinst.   out cold of the box it was a poor first impression - crackly, light and tinny - but after three days it managed to "wake up" and I am driving on AC power with my d700, HD800, LCDs with...

SILEO - The Battery Powered Balanced HP/PREAMP (w/ optional USB in) from Human Audio (Made in Europe)

cool .... reeks of "very high end"....can't wait for the measurement details but already anticipate it to work with the LCDs and HE's, Hd800 and T1 etc...   but since you asked :) tell us more about your sound signature - I know every fine audio equipment purveyor claims "neutrality", when...

How much DC offset would you consider harmful to HP and after which point would you throw the commercial amp out?

still going through the thread to get my head around the science behind this (and the dangers!) but keep going guys... really ground break stuff.   just one quick question - would you think that it would be possible to create a "magic box" that gives users control over some of the key...

Audinst HUD-MX2 vs ODAC/O2 vs Graham Slee Bitzie. A few portable Dac/Amps.

yeah i'd agree that the Audinst has the best feature range and the best looker of the lot.   you made a point of the better AC adaptor making a difference on one of the units - just wondering if this has been a neglected part of the chain.   lots of sensitive auidio devices have emphasized...

Audinst HUD-MX2 vs ODAC/O2 vs Graham Slee Bitzie. A few portable Dac/Amps.

nice review, but am i right to say that the difference is really quite minor between the o2d and audinst? also a question on with and without AC power - how much difference does it make to the audinst? and leaving it on all the time on AC power does it run hot?   i think the output selector...

Most underrated and overrated headphone? For a bit of fun :)

i think the lcd2.1 has been overshadowed by its predecessor the 2.2 and the 3.   simply put it was the model that put LCD on the highend headphone map.   sure it has its particular sound signature, but for folks who go for that smoky night club scene for that female vocalist, IMHO in this...

from the design it looks like something harman had to throw up to fight the senns momentum ...looks like something more fashionable rather than a signature technological product

    The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread

Been running my HD800 off the Vioelectric V200 and Marantz KI Pearl SACD Player for a year now.   Decided to try something new and unplugged my old friend the PS Audio GCHA which has been relegated to PC gaming duties (yeah! audiophile gaming) and was pleasantly surprised to find that it puts...
