UM2 hissing/background noise? Sensitivity issue or something else?
Yeah, I was thinking about sending the SM3 in to get the 4switch upgrade (includes 75ohm switch) but that option was kind of cost prohibitives. The other thing that kind of bothers me is the fact that because the UM2's are so sensitive, there's no leeway in the volume. Like one TINY adjustment...- memoryblues

UM2 hissing/background noise? Sensitivity issue or something else?
Hi guys! Thanks to Headfi I'm well on my way to audio bliss. I have a problem that I hope you can help me out with. Here's my setup so far: 3G iPod 20gb -> standard iPod dock -> Cardas mini-mini -> Supermacro v3 (no switches) -> UM2 I'm sure most, if not all, of you UM2 owners out there...- memoryblues

Which Headphone stand do YOU prefer?
Where do you find those stands in BB&B? Like, what sections should I go to? What would I ask for? Thanks!- memoryblues

What it comes down to is this: check your attitude at the door. Especially considering the subjective nature of our hobby. What makes a person like DT880's more than HD650's? Or even stranger still, HD600's over HD650's? It all comes down to preference. If someone likes Bose headphones, I say...- memoryblues

pics of Grado travel cases?
After being at a friend's house and looking over his Bose QC2's, I realized that the carrying case for the QC2's is almost identical to the ones everyone is showing interest in here, even down to the velcro pouch inside.- memoryblues

Just got back from Borders...
Picked up Jane Monheit's and Jamie Cullum's latest. But here's the interesting part. You know those listening centers they setup so you can sample the albums? Well, I was listening to some Jane Monheit through the Koss headphones they had at the listening station and...it sounded...good! I was...- memoryblues
