I moved from U18 to Holo Red with the Holo Spring 3 KTE and is 2 steps better in my taste, If you like use the R26 with Holo Red via I2s, check the pinout I don't think it works properli with DSD.... so...

I tested HQplayer upsampling, interesting but at the end I'm back to NOS setting in my Holo Spring 3 KTE DAC, If you love acoustics music the natural and organic sound I think is the best in my taste. Holo Red add resolution and trasparency (and also a big soundstage), Also life licence to Roon...

I'm using Spring 3 KTE with Holo Red via I2s with no dubts in my system sound a lot better then Roon Rock (on fanless i5 PC) via USB direct and also from the Red as a roon endpoint streamer and via USB to the DAC.

I tested many upsampling setting via Roon and HQplayer, but at the end I went back to NOS pure. If you like the acoustics music, this is the most similar, the fluidity of natural analog sound for me is the best.

The Cisco CBS220 is a standard ethernet switch with uplink on Gbic module? Correct? did you compared with "Audiophile Greade" switch like new Gustard N18 or SoTM ? What's about I2s HDMI cable?

I have seen that many users have found good improvements in terms of sound quality by changing the left pair (buffers) to Shuagang CV181-Z or Psvane CV181-T-MII valves instead of the excellent Tung-Sol 6SN7. I don't seem to have seen that there are NOS tubes that on the left pair (Buffers) work...
