What are the current entry level big/circumaural/open headphones for home use?
Hi there, assuming I'm not plugging into an amp or a particularly powerful source, and want to be able to hear what's around me, what are the current "under $70" big cooshy entry level open headphones? Something like the high end sennheiser's in form factor, but not so expensive. Thanks!- Gluegun

So what's the current solid 'low end' sound card? Gaming/Music?
Uh, that super-advanced santa cruz aureal stuff only works on windows 98, I think... with a very very few games... for the full A3D stuff, I mean. I don't think it works with windows 2000, xp, etc. etc.- Gluegun

So what's the current solid 'low end' sound card? Gaming/Music?
So recently, I dug my old Turtle Beach Santa Cruz out of my ancient computer, to replace the onboard sound of my current gaming rig, which was... eh, okay, but I could hear the noises when it was thinking and accessing the hard drive and such.. So, in this computer, the Santa Cruz sounds...- Gluegun

..So my Sony D-25S and Panasonic SL-CT470 are dead/dying...
...What do I do? They both seem to have 'motor' issues. I've mostly switched to a Clip+, but I *like* the idea of being able to play a CD once in a while... Is there any portable/totable with short battery cd player that I could find? Any way to repair these? What is the best CD player...- Gluegun

Can't register a new name -- captcha not working!
Well it seems to be working now. For me at least... but it was saying that we got an invalid captcha, and to retry the captcha -- just as if you intentionally write in the wrong info. But I tried again, and it seems to be working now... my friend might have gotten in, not sure.- Gluegun

Solid inexpensive clip-on computer microphone?
Hi all, what's a solid computer mic (1/8" plug) for a computer, to use with my headphones? Ideally to clip onto my shirt or to the wire of my headphones? I'm really looking for something more inexpensive and non-sucky. What are some solid models? Thanks!- Gluegun

Difference in SQ Between the Bose QC2 and QC15? Worth Upgrading?
Bose is good at one thing in headphones -- active noise cancellation. If you want sound quality, or one of the more fruitful ways of doing sound cancellation (ie passive like earplug style headphones can get -- seriously, canalphones blow the bose out of the water in isolation, value, sound...- Gluegun

Disappointed with new laptop sound.
Laptops don't have subwoofers. They don't even have woofers. Anything that says there is a woofer or subwoofer in a laptop case is a complete lie. Yes, the designers of the laptop are lying to you. What you probably have is two twiddlers (tweeter/midranges, with the worst aspects of...- Gluegun

So what are the best <$100 headphones for female vocals these days?
Heya, I've been out of the loop for a while. What are the best relatively efficient, under $100 headphones for really enjoying female vocalists, these days? And is there something REALLY incredibly awesome in the ~$150 range, to be an excuse to trade from the 'normal budget limit' to the...- Gluegun
