  Could you tell me how many tracks you have on your 1TB iPod? Was using a 7.5G classic. Now onto the 5.5G (80GB). A bit better, but Rockbox has frozen after copying 30,000 tracks. I can dualboot, but Rockbox stays stuck on the splash screen.

Well, I managed to copy 55,000/110,000 tracks over to my 1TB 7.5G iPod Classic (stock OS) and now it shows a red cross (even after putting the SSD into PC). Looks the firmware can't handle this amount tracks?   Will try rockbox.

OK. I'm using the SSD with a 5.5G iPod. I've successfully installed Rockbox, and now I wish to plug the SSD into my motherboard. When I do this it says the SSD requires formatting, however when plugging in the iPod, 930GB FAT32 appears in My Computer. How do I get the partition to be detected...

I can't install emCore at all. Just keeps freezing at the 'formatting' screen (left to format for 10hrs+).

Unfortunately not. Stuck on a 'formatting' screen. Perhaps it's incompatible with the SSD (Samsung 840 EVO)? When syncing with iTunes, it'll randomly freeze, and I have to eject it, causing it to restart and show up a red cross. The only way to fix it is to plug the SSD into my PC.

I'm going to give syncing on stock OS another try. Syncing in batches of 4000 tracks.   I have a library >100,000 tracks (around 904GB).

  I know on the 5th gen it's prone to a bootloop and then says 'very low battery'. Without opening it, it's a real bitch getting it to boot into the menus.

Thank you! However, is the emCore build the same? Or is that also patched? I'm now trying a different build (r859) and it's remained static for about 10mins on the "Formatting" splash screen. I am going to leave it overnight just to validate it's not impatience on my part.

Does anyone have beyondwind's rockbox for 7th gen? I've installed emCore with a 7th gen iPod + 1TB Samsung 840 EVO. It's been "stuck" on the formatting screen. I've left it for four hours and it's doing nothing.
