M50X sound signature is completely different from Hybrid Pro HD. It's closer to KZ ATR's.

I had to bump the bass on my FiiO A5 when I connect the Xiaomi Hybrid Pro HD.

I am inserting these as far as I can, so the bass is somewhat ok (but I still prefer to EQ it), but the highs are still harsh and I think there is not much resolution in highs too. It's loosing the detail... 

I am interested. Looking forward for a date to be announced. Hopefully it will be saturday ;)

Now I am pissed off and confused. The ones I've bought are from gearbest and there were some posts before, suggesting these are the HD's.

These IEMs need EQing anyways. Now I am playing some powerful psytrance electronic music thru itunes and I've set up the equalizer to:     But still, there is some sibilance in highs...

They just arrived yesterday to me, and my ootb impressions are somewhat similar to @fonkepala Bass is clean, but mids sound strange. A bit recessed, muddy? Treble is neutral, but quite a lot of detail in it. The 8-9kHz area is bumped-up a bit, all kind of cymbals sound a little harsh. I hope...

I am using the pair of XB50AP directly on mobile devices since 2013, and now with my Fiio A5, and what I can say about them is that the bass is not overwhelming. It sounds round and full, but it's not muddy at all, what I like. I think it goes down somewhere around 60-80Hz, but it's biggest...

I am liking my new A5 more and more every day. Sound is really powerful and smooth.

Didn't had the E12 so I can't compare. You might be right, but none the less the A5 operates pretty nice to me ;)

The volume knob on A5 isn't slippery at all. It have this nice facture and resistance so it operates very smoothly and accurately.

Hopefully there will be something going on :)
