Sorry, when I said "over ear" I meant "on ear". In fact I'm looking for "around ear" (circumaural/full size) headphones. Plus: less than 150$ and closed. If I don't find one, maybe I'll buy the px200II.

IMHO, the ATH-M50 is a clear upgrade, especially in the mids (fuller) and the low highs or maybe the upper mids (not harsh). The bass quantity may be the same, but it sounds more natural on the M50 (maybe because it's less disjointed from the mids). Overall the ATH-M50 sounds much more balanced...

The ATH-M50 does eveything that the MRD-V6 can do, but with more balance and less harshness.

With the V6, you don't hear every bit of detail, you just hear more bass and more highs (the harsh ones) than on the record. But less of the rest. Fot me, that's not detail, that's focusing your attention on some specific frequency, and changing the balance, which could result in a perception...
