I will be in Europe for 11 days from this weekend, and wish to sell my last remaining Stax gear as I mostly moved to speakers.
L500 (mk I) with Socas mod and Sony XB700 pads (don't have oiginal earpads). Headbands are as shown in pics, still fit perfectly and feel firm, but I can't say it won't tear in few years or less, depending on use.
Sounds perfectly. I had the L700 mkII and also listened extensively the stock L500 mkII and apart for the bass still being a bit more defined/tight in the 700, the modded mki 500 was better, more 3D soundstage and cohese IMHO, and bass is significantly improved from stock L500 ii. Actually, a few non initiated friends (and gf) preferred this modded lambda to all my other HPs, including some much more expensive 007, x9000, etc.
Also selling the SRM D10 in mint condition, actually much prefer to sell L500 and D10 as a pair with discount for 1250 euro plus shipping. Will only bring them to Europe if sold and payed by Friday (I have Euro payment instructions). I will be in Paris, Milan and Munich but I guess can ship within Europe easily.
May trade for good cables (USB, RCA, etc)
