It needs a bigger battery and more power output, otherwise will still have to use dongles to drive even low impedance headphones.

Its all about the Dac man, is it a Snapdragon freebie dac or is is something special?

Sony bragging more about some special Jack now on the Dac and speakers.

Yeah, this is definitely just Snapdragon. Very disappointing, 1V wired was worse then Beyerdynamic Xelento Wireless neckband.

I think maybe it's not just the Snapdragon.. Because that claims they did something special this time.

Sony phones have pretty much always used same class d Dac/amp chip as their Walkman players, called S master HX. Can always spot it by the ridiculously low power output.

The quad Dac was exceptional, Im happy just with a special Dac other than standard Snapdragon, I want something Special that sounds good on my Sennheiser and Sony mdr headphones.

Here a new premium Dac it says in Swedish.
Om sure the same as is in English.

Earlier models never bragged about this as I remember.

Hmmm. Other reports have mentioned new "circuitry". It would be good if Sony could explain exactly what improvements have been made.

Doubt the actual output is significantly more than the predecessors... But it's an audiophile phone in many other ways like it's dual front facing speakers. The speakers on the 1V was already quite good, but it's been improved even more.

Also supports basically every Bluetooth codec, one of the few phones that isn't from a Chinese manufacturer that do.

In a Sony video the boss/man claimed 50% louder jack than Xperia 1V and better channel separation for better audio quality.

And the ads show Premium audio circuitry (the Dac).
And in my knowledge they never bragged about this in earlier versions.

Not premium audio circuitry.

Just premium audio.
