Is there any reason to get x2 if you already have pioneer se-a1000?

Yes! They are very much different flavors! Honestly, the build quality difference is alone worth the price difference in my opinion. I forgot to update this review after testing a second pair of X2's
The sound difference is like a warm blanket Pioneer vs an outdoor concert X2. I prefer a warm blanket, but it does kinda mush instruments together.
I don't think I would call them a direct upgrade in terms of sound, but I think the X2's are much better overall.
After having a second pair, I could make an argument for the X2 being higher on that list in cleanliness. The first pair I had may have been a particularly bass heavy pair according to the other research and comparison I have done.
