ATH-M50x and DT770 Pro 250 ohm (or 80 ohm) are all good choices, you probably won't be dissapointed with any you choose. I'd probably recommend ATH-M50x the most because of the nice features like detachable cable and portability. They came with 3 different cables (Long, coiled and short) you can change depending on the use.

I just bought some of these. They drown out the wife quite well and sound great to boot!

Thats good to hear. Could you help me by telling how good dt880 sounds when compared to HD555 coz im eyeing it for a long time.. Thanks a lot mate!!!
