Loved the review. And love my LCD-2.2F as well. For truly lush, warm, and bassy, I have the HD6XX. For more revealing, clean, higher resolution, the LCD-2 is where I go. It does that well, without ever getting dry or analytical. "Wet" is indeed a good description. An excellent wetness.

Great review and comparisons, as usual.  I am glad you mentioned comfort--all of the LCD models are hard for me to wear for extended periods because of their weight or weight distribution.  The Eikons are good examples of heavy weight done right--they are easy to wear even though they are about the same weight.

Agree in most. Yes LCD2 is not technicaly sound right nor neutral etc. but it sounds quite right natural at the same time. So I loved them in past even with their mistakes. About comfort agree too but strangely for me is more important pads which is very comfy and deep enough without touch ears, for me this is most important so I do not have problem with Audeze comfort and thier industrial design :D definitely looks special.

Hi, I've personally found this to be a rather illogical review of the LCD2.
You said:
- Essentially, the clarity and dynamics of the headphone were increased at the cost of some sub-bass extension and overall bloom in the low end
- Again, I am told that the treble characteristics of the LCD-2 2016 iteration is because of the fazor driver innovation plus a reduction of a more bloated low end – making the headphone possess more micro-detail than before

I have trouble understanding how the clarity and dynamics can increase as a result of decreased sub-bass extension and overall bloom, or that a bloated low end increases micro detail.
