The modding possibilities will ultimately come down to how easily the new model is to assemble and how much glue they choose to use lol. Looking forward to messing around with a pair. This was unnecessarily salty. If the price of the driver bothers you just don't buy a pair lol.

The micropore tape was a way to bring the bass shelf down to allow the new pads to have proper ear gain, not really much to do with decay as that sounds the same.
