So you're wanting to upgrade from the DC Elite to either the CMA18 or D16? What is it you are missing from the DC Elite? Only curious since I just had both on hand for testing. I got to see/hear benefits of either.

Tried out the E3 when I did my review of it from Audio46. Bought it two weeks after I sent it back to them. It's an excellent headphone to contrast with my Atrium Closed! Liric 2 did not work for me unfortunately. I'm a very rare case that I didn't get a good seal with that HP.

I grabbed a Hart audio cable so I can try out the balanced of the 620S. I'm going to try it with the Midgard XLR to get the Halo effect! It works pretty well with DD headphones typically.

For isolation; are you referring to with music playing or without? I definitely find many closed backs to not completely blacken out the outside noise until music is playing (even at low volume). Treble response I think will help with different AMP/DACs too. I'm gathering my thoughts...
