Does anyone have a portable over ear they prefer to the denons?

Yeah I don't know what that guy is talking about but I owned a pair and sold them and the only way the bass distorted was if it was full blast with my amplifier set to boost the bass 11 db.

Can anyone do a complete comparison between these and the Bower and Wilkins P7's? I loved the shures but the P7 sounded more engaging and detailed to me with not as wide a soundstage. Any thoughts?

Can anyone please comment on how these compare to the shure 1540s and which you prefer and why? I don't know which I should go with. I got a killer deal on the shures (375$) brand new! They retail for 500  one dollar bills. Still I don't know if I should switch to these babies. Any help asap...

I completely disagree about the shures. I have never heard a more detailed can and maybe in the "neutral" world they are bassy but not at all in comparison to most consumer cans. They are a lot less bassy than my m50x and have the widest soundstage I have ever heard in a closed back. Just wish...

Akg k545, Bower P7, Shure 1540, Hp50, shure 940 those are all the closed ones I was considering.

out of those other 60 closed back headphones what were in your opinion the best? I am still not sure what I think of the less prominent vocals.

Yeah Idk I wish someone could compare the Akg k545 and shure 1540 for me I have heard both but cant remember good enough. The Hp50s would make me feel like a fool to ever wear those in public.

I still think the m50s are great headphones. Are they perfect? No. Are they a good value? In my opinion yes. As for the shure 1540 the Bower P7 has loads of more bass and brighter treble and voices sound more forward but at higher volumes can sound artifical. Meanwhile the shure is very balanced...

Does anyone know if the cord for the se215 would work for these? I cant afford to spend 60 bucks on a cord way too much for me.

Maybe it is just me but I have no idea what anyone is talking about overwhelming bass for. To me it sounds neutral I wouldn't even call it emphasized. I do love the sound but wish they had more bass. Everything else is nearly perfect for me. Not sure where to go from here need more listening...
