ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)
My Eikon actually fits perfectly and Verite Closed could also be stored but not nicely. It seems to depend on how wide your headband is, as in my VC it is a bit too wide for the case.- Sword of Damocles

ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)
I like that you can have the height adjusted for few clicks and Bokeh still fits in the case.- Sword of Damocles

ZMF Caldera Closed
I know I know, just interesting how similar their FR is. I have reviewed the closed Sundara too and found it just ok-ish, but really nothing more.- Sword of Damocles

Thanks for your review and measurements! It was a good read. Caldera Closed just might have made Hifiman Sundara Closed more interesting.- Sword of Damocles

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
Adding the new pads to DT 770 Pro X is a nice mod, but with the same money you could get the DT 700 Pro X, which sounds more balanced. For identical results you would need the drivers from DT 700 Pro X as well, which is impossible and not worth it. However, as you already have DT 900 Pro X in...- Sword of Damocles

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
Traditional (old) closed-back designs with a bass port seem to behave like this, but the location and depth of the dip in DT 770 Pro X is not very optimal in stock formation.- Sword of Damocles

ZMF Caldera Closed
This could have something to do with the 1 kHz forwardness, as Linus (Tech tips) also cried when listening to similarly forward Abyss headphones.:stuck_out_tongue:...just joking, as I found a similarity. However, when done right, that kind of forward energy can sound emotionally powerful. Here I...- Sword of Damocles

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
You can get the drivers out very easily with fingers. Just grab here with your nails and pull up. It doesn't take much force. Yesterday I noticed that DT 770 Pro X shares all of its internal parts with DT 700 Pro X, so you can swap the drivers and even use the earpads from DT 700 Pro X...- Sword of Damocles

The Headphone Driver Pics Thread
Yes they fit perfectly, as the LE model shares parts with DT 700 Pro X. This is the FR (purple line = Harman Target 2018) with the DT 700 Pro X pads. If you also use the thick foam from DT 700 Pro X, you get 3-6 dB less treble, after which it matches Harman target quite closely. Still, you...- Sword of Damocles

The Headphone Driver Pics Thread
Just tested that every part between them is interchangeable. I can even use the earpads from DT 700 Pro X with my Anniversary model as the plastic ring (keeping things together) in front of the baffle is exactly the same. I will take some measurements to see how the pads and the...- Sword of Damocles

Just opened my DT 700 Pro X to see the difference. I have both DT 700 Pro X and DT 770 Pro X Limited Edition, so i wonder if you could change the drivers around.- Sword of Damocles

By the way, there has been one set of CC measurements available for ~2 weeks already. You can find them from Squiglink with the headphone model search function, but as they aren't mine, I won't post them here. Would be nice to measure and review Caldera Closed as well, but without a local...- Sword of Damocles

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
Adding one piece of kitchen roll in front of the drivers as well as closing 75 percent of the bass ports with tape gives you good results.- Sword of Damocles

ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)
I don't unfortunately have the Denon model currently available for a comparison. I have heard it like 2 years ago and there weren't any major problems considering its price. However, its boosted 500-1500 Hz area doesn't necessarily sound the most natural compared to headphones like Bokeh.- Sword of Damocles
