@OnlySoMany everything, not literally no, but the earcup frame, mesh, yolks, and structure are metal (everything you see in silver). That’s a very significant and smart question. Many headphones have different squiggles depending on the SPL at 1kHz. And… I don’t know. @maegnificant I think I won’t hear back from Axel for awhile now that the High End show is over… I think the trade shows take a lot out of him 😅 That said, the tight tolerances might show up on the individual measurement data delivered with the Signature series. @SeanHasAPairOfDuals I personally felt the AKGs did soundstage/headstage better than the Sennheiser’s at this price point… but the grell sounds clearly better to me in that aspect. Yep! The earcup entry port is still balanced, 2.5mm TRRS. As far as dual entry being “better…” I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s a little better to use dual entry cables (two 2.5mm TRRS plugs).
