Holy crap that is a great price.

The Koss estats are in the same league as the Stax L500/L700 and sound fine with the Koss energizer, unfortunately there is a very unnatural drop in all frequencies <200hz. I haven't tried to overcome that with EQ.

Anyway, as soon as I plugged my Koss 95X into a Stax amp(using an adapter) they sounded way better right away. Way more body to the music.
