On the request of James, we start this new all-in-one thread to address any questions you may have to FiiO, with considerations as follows:

1. As you can see, we have one single thread to each product we released. With the product lineup expanding, it’s getting more and more difficult for us to track up the status for all the threads and reply timely.

2. It’s our after-sales staff who do the daily routine work and reply on Head-Fi, but in terms of future plans, product functions and features, James and our product managers can provide more accurate information to all of you. So with this thread, they will check from time to time to have your questions answered.

So just feel free to subscribe to this integrated thread and join the discussion, thanks!

Music player - please add alhum artst alongside song artist. They aren't always the same?
Music player - have you fixed the issue where extended latin letters would be replaced by Chinese characters?
M11 - uk price and availability?

Since there are some issues should be fixed before we export to oversea market, So we have not accurate ETA for you about the UK price and availability right now. the other question will be replied by Wian who is our DAP product manager.

Does the FiiO M9 do MQA and Tidal offline?

About MQA, now the licence fee is too high and there are not so much MQA music available now. about Tidal offline, it should be supported now.

As far as I know the latest Tidal Android app unpacks MQA up to 24/96 automatically, so the M9 supports that. For full MQA you need an MQA-capable dac. Personally I think MQA is overrated.

Yes, you're right about the first unfold. I saw a reference to MQA in the latest M9 firmware release notes, so I guess that means the first unfold only - as per the current iOS and Android Tidal apps:

11. Updated Tidal to version 2.11.1.883.1 (with MQA support).

So I imagine what @JamesFiiO means is the rendering part, which is the bit I'm more interested in.

Is the Tidal offline capability as simple as selecting a playlist to be offline?

i haven’t tried offlining playlists specifically but yes, as long as the download toggle is there, you can download (and even select download location in Tidal settings).

Hello, @FiiO. Please consider adding other music player apps on the whitelist of the M6 like HibyMusic (from what I see in the FiiO M6 thread, this is one of the most requested apps), PowerAmp, BlackPlayer, etc. I think it's a lot better if we users of M6 have more options regarding music player apps. Besides, if an app like Spotify (in which I think is kinda resource-heavy for the M6) is in the whitelist and could run fine, I don't think the aforementioned apps would have an issue running on the M6.

Also, nice to know that the upcoming FiiO M11 is running on an open Android system where you could run any apps.

Is there a product comparison available between the M5 and BTR3? Super curious about which features they will share. The M5 sounds amazing to me if it will still be able to take calls over Bluetooth like the BTR3.
