@FiiO Now that the firmware update adding LHDC is out, Please can you enable LHDC on the M11 Plus (ESS) so that I can get the best audio quality with my UTWS5? It is freely available in Android 10 and therefore there should be no reason not to add it to the firmware for this DAP.

We will try to assess about that.

@FiiO I love the option to turn on/off ambiental noise, but It will be fast and easy to use if you include a direct link via the button change option.

Or maybe just let us to customize the button.

You could triple-click the button on the right earhook to enable the Ambient Sound Mode.

Well, after less than two months of light use, my UTWS5 crapped out on me. The case just stopped responding. No light, no charging, and no recognition of the earpieces. And all that happened after my UTWS1 died within 6 months of use. Didn't bother with it though. Seems like a severe reliability issue with the UTWS line.

What do I do?

If the battery on utws5 module have problems. Can it be changed with battery in the market or sold by fiio??

Is there a diffrence between utws5 v1 and v2 other than the marking and the charge pin placement? Maybe firmware update or other??


Im also looking for 2 pin utws5 .If anyone want to depart with the utws5 2pin. Can pm me. Thanks

1. You could try to change the battery by yourself if needed. You could try to find a similar battery for it.
2. No other difference.

The story of utws5... What a story with quality flaws. Many people are complaining on Fiio and Reddit forums about the either one side's or both battery not being charged, dying quickly.


Out of nowhere today i face the same issue. What's even funnier that the low battery first was an issue for right unit.

Then jumped to left and your product seems to be convinced that both side are low.

One unit jumps back to higher battery level then another drops. Just randomly.

And now they're in my ears running 1% battery for almost about an hour. So, the battery is not 1%. Sth is messed up with the control unit, reporting false battery levels.

The question is how this possible that I didn't even your product at the gym, any area where I can get sweaty, they're no liquid contact so nothing should leak inside. They're already sweat proof right? So that's crossed out. They're not dropped. No physical damage. So that's crossed out also.

Whats left? How did you assemble it or how good are the parts you used?...

What a messed up situation is this. 6 months after purchasing and I didn't even use much . Whole day I'm dealing with this.
