Hey all. Fired up my PRII last night only to discover something wrong with the right channel. It buzzed and distorted, something like what I'd imagine a blown headphone driver would sound like (though in this case it's definitely the amp).

By now Larocco's customer service has become something of legend, so I'd greatly prefer troubleshooting and repairing it myself if that's possible, but I'm not exactly sure how to go about doing so. Any suggestions?

The first thing I would do is remove the cover of the amp. I'm assuming this PR II isn't a MK II. Use a pair of tweezers or better yet needlenose pliers, and gently remove and reinsert the op-amp back into the socket. It sounds possible that perhaps the op-amp was jarred a little loose somehow and the pins from one side aren't making a full connection. I would try that first. I did have a PR II myself for a year and a half.
