IFI black label and Roon

Great thank you I was worried how I could use it with my Nucleus without keeping it powered up. I have 2 dac's and the black label is the better one.

@Craft Ears is correct. Please connect your micro iDSD BL first and then power it on, which will result in enabling its desktop mode (constant charge to keep the battery topped up). Hope this helps, thanks!

Thank you I never thought of that. Before I decided to attach it to my Nucleus, it was next to my equipment stand connected to a desktop computer that was always left on. The direct /Preamp switch was handy. When listening to the main system I would use the direct mode, but with headphones I would use the preamp mode to control volume.

Yes, it's a handy feature if one decides to use micro iDSD BL in a desktop setup. Here it's worth noting that its battery may eventually go to 0% if one uses difficult to drive cans at high volume levels. In other words, micro iDSD BL needs to receive more power than a connected load demands, but that shouldn't be a problem with vast majority of cans on the market. Thanks and enjoy!

I don't think that will be the case with the K701's. @drjjpdc you should be good to go :)
