How do I fix this wire coming loose on my DT1990 ? Please

There is no shorting of the sound/wires.
But I want to avoid that and future possible breaks in the wire.

What would be the best way to fix this?
My guess would be shrink tubing ?

For the long term, if you are comfortable opening your headphone, you can get a replacement cable from Beyerdynamic (Beyerdynamic article No. 916516), small connectors, but no soldering. Though, the shipping might be almost more expensive than the part itself.

Yeah, it doesn’t really help beyerdynamic in selling headphones if they don’t have a presence in North America. I never understood that.
I wonder if there is anyone here I can send them to, to make a replacement cable that is more robust so it won’t break.

not that they are the most expensive pair of headphones. But once EQd. They are awesome.
