Having purchased some Denon D1000's (and loving them) I am now looking to replace my old (very very old) EX51's that I bought way back before I had an inkling of good sound. They sounded better than the stock earbuds, which I though was all I needed. Enter Head-Fi....
Anyways, I am looking for a cheap pair of canalphones/IEM's that I can use when my Denon's would be incovenient/likely to get stolen or broken. SQ doesn't have to be great (obviously), but I want to keep them under $20. Durability would be a plus (the cord on the EX51's is degrading rapidly). Also,if possible a symmetrically cord would be nice - I prefer it to the over-the-neck style of the Sony's.
From searching the boards, I have come up with the JVC Marshmallow. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Thanks in advance.
