Yes, I have always written that the Jewel must be heard at medium / high volume, to show its extraordinary potential. He needs power
These days I'm using it with my Sony WM1ZM2 and Orpheus, and the sound he can give me is simply incredible, so natural, analogue and with that tube-style warmth

Congratulations ! Thunder are simply fantastic , I really can't explain how they are totally underestimated by the people who write on Head-Fi

Interesting! Recently I heard the Jewel for the first time and thought they are a lot more relaxed in the treble than I thought, almost a little dull for my liking. So it seems I am not the only one who perceives this.

I think they are a great all-arounder, because they really don't do any genre poorly. But they are definitely relaxed and will not excite some. I for one find myself going for Ordin more often, because it never fails to wow me. But it's a little more genre specific. Bright 80s pop, like Michael Jackson's BAD, could be fatiguing on Odin. But it won't be on Jewel.

UM Mest MK3 sounds really really good on Aroma Audio A100TB (Burson V5iD op-amps with Ufeel MK8 op-amp buffer for both input & output stage).

I'm currently only 17 years old. Should I get the jewel within the next year or wait longer? Or get the Yao?

But in all seriousness these really are great. Was not expecting such a big improvement in stage and dynamics.

Its a “power amp” in that, your dap controls the volume. This just delivers power: Resolute by HAA and Thrax.

Also listened to the dsc lina after, even more insane but that price…
