I would really like to thank Driftwood for his personal help and for leading me to the stax SR-001MK2 earspeakers. I wanted a very good earbud but these stax seem to be far beyond that. I just ordered them and the guy said that it will be here in a week. I asked him if I could get them sooner and I would pay more money for that. They cost 305.28 so I hope that they sound really great.
Thanks again Driftwood and all the members here at head-fi for helping members get great sound.
ps
If anyone has these please give me your opion of them.

Congratulations, LTUCCI1924! I've gotta' feeling you'll love the phones. I ordered some a couple of weeks ago via e-mail, and never heard back from the guy.

Where did you order your's and how? (e-mail, phone call....?)

Thanks in advance....

Rick, Where did you order yours?

I'm really looking forward to reading more opinions on these. Sounds like they may be serious competition for Etymotic.

Is this where ypu ordered from and did they take money out of your credit card

Same place...They never hit my credit card, but they have never replied one way or another. I'm going to find another source.

Hope you have better luck.....

Hmm. EIFL has come highly recommended on the forum. Has anyone else had trouble placing orders with them?

EIFL is hardly a scam artist to my knowledge, but they do have a problem with answering their email. You are much better off giving them a phone call, keeping in mind the time differences. Their phone #:

+81-(0)42-956-1178

I do agree, however, that Etymotics (either the ER4S or ER4P) really seem like the better buy. For one thing, they don't need batteries. Plus, they give good sound isolation. And they cost less, too. And, of course, the sound is fabulous...

But I'm sure you'll be happy with the Staxes, too. There have been nothing but good reviews of them.

I've got the ER 6, ER 4P/ with conversion cable. I don't think I'm dealing with a scam artist, I believe there was an honest mix-up on the e-mail order.

That's strange, the last time I emailed EIFL I got a reply back within an hour. Then again the 2nd email I sent off inquiring about their policy regarding customs and if they could write things off as gifts never got a reply.
