Hi!

I'm thinking about returning my HD477's to the store because they lack the punch I was looking for. I like its clear and neutral sound but it definitely lack the bass I'm looking for (in fact having good bass in my first priority). Will Alessandro MS1's solve the problem or should I simply choose a simple and cheaper model like the PortaPro's?

Regards

Id say thats probably a good idea, but if you want to stay in your price range have you tried the Senn 202 ? It is much bassier than the 477 imo, the bass isnt exactly accurate or tight, but alot of people do prefer exaggerated, loose and boomy bass.
I have many friends with the 202's and they go "The bass is so good!!" while I sit here thinking, yeah sure it is ... I have MS-2s

Well I'm ready to upgrade in price range so as long as the MS-1s worth the upgrade sound quality and bass wise I'll do it. Also, are the MS-1s minimally comfortable? 477s are pretty unbeatable in term of comfort.
