Why are some track marks not removable? Are there only a certain amount of removals allowed? I have been trying to remove a track mark that's dividing a song, and it won't do it.

That's weird, never had that kind of problem before. Does it give you an error?

It reads "SORRY", or it simply does nothing. I've had this on a few discs. For the one in question here, I had edited a 10 minute CD version of The Chambers Brothers "Time Has Come Today" down to the 4 minute single version, so I'd have it in stereo. There was about 8 track mark inserts/edits, but the last track mark won't come off. This is using the MZ-R50. Maybe I should try removing it with the Sony MD home deck.

Hopefully i'm not insulting your intelligence Beagle, not being as big an MD person as yourself, I have noticed that the only time that my MD says 'Sorry' is when I try to delete the LAST track mark (i.e. the END of the MD)... I daresay that this isn't the case for yourself, but - I thought i'd mention it anyway...

So far as I remember, the limit for track marks on any one MD is 99... would this have been exceeded on the MD in question? - Could this be whats upset it? - If not, then I really don't know

although i haven't encountered it myself, i have read about md table of contents becoming corrupted after too many changes were made. you may want to check www.minidisc.org for more info.
