Walking thru the Virgin Megastore here I saw an album by this band called

The Orb - Orbilivion

It was going for a discounted rate but I didnt purchase it as I havent heard of them. Though I have developed an intrest in Electronica and people say The Orb is nice. My buddy says go for it...so the album any good? Any others by them which are good?

Been listening to electronica since the earliest days: I'm talking since I was born (thanks dad!)...Eno...Kraftwerk etc...all the way up to the latest weekly Tiesto spin

Let me know if you want some nice suggestions to start you off

I have some 400 cds of this stuff....

I agree that The Orb is kinda hit or miss ... worth hearing in concert though. I'd aim for their older albums as recommended.

I have some FSOL (Dead Cities), and while I like the album I don't remember it reminding me of The Orb. YMMV though.

My favorite Orb albums are:
UFOrb
Orbus Terrarum

Seeing them live is quite an experience!

I agree about the hit or miss theory on these guys, that's what you get for being non-conformist in the industry!!

It’s there best album. 1996 I think? Shame cause they have many albums but they peaked early imo
