I'm looking to add a turntable and headphone amp to my listening experience. I live in a small space, so my rig has been entirely portable (iBassos and iPods). But I have a small area in which I can add a turntable, so I want to look into it. My headphones are Sennheiser HD598s and Sennheiser Momentum On-Ears. I use the 598s for most of my listening, however.

I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. For the turntable, I've been looking at the U-Turn Basic or maybe the Pro-ject Elemental or Essential. I'm also interested in used or vintage turntables, but I'm not sure how to begin looking for those. Does anyone have a good suggestion? I'd prefer one with a built-in phono. I'd be happy to find a good older turntable in need of a cartridge, maybe.

I'd also need a headphone amp. I was looking at the Schitt Magni 2. But do I need to spend that much money? I've heard good things about the Bravo tube amps too, which might be a nice match for the turntable. But I wonder if getting a simpler model like a Behringer might be a better bang for my buck.

Any thoughts or suggestions are most appreciated!

For $100 it's hard to beat and it's still cheaper than a new TT.

If you want to roll the dice on output impedance higher than the output so you're restricted to low impedance, high sensitivity headphones - which might come out like either molasses or tin cans - then these are hard to beat.

Then I'll probably get the Magni. I could always use it with my iBasso too if I wanted to and it's not that expensive.
