Ear buds or headphones (on ear). Or in-ear? Your title contradicts your post.

I'm looking for headphones that cost 25 dollar.I really like the mids frequency

I assume you are looking for in-ear monitors (?). If so, I would look at the SoundMAGIC E10 and the VSONIC VSD3S. They may be slightly more than $25. Alternatively, you could for $25 get two of the very good KZ ATE. Solidly built and sound good. You should check it out, too.

I'm so glad you started this thread. Maybe there are others like this already here on Head-Fi, but I'm a newbie. I like this thread because it's an under-served topic. Of course expensive IEMs mostly sound good at the $500+ levels. But people need to keep an open mind about some of the truly entry level buds. There's some surprisingly good stuff out there.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I was on the fence about spending about $50 on a new set of mid-level IEMs, and I decided on a whim to buy just a bunch of really cheap ones instead. I checked reviews and did a little research, but I still knew I was taking a risk. At $8 on average, I figured some of these would be garbage.

And a couple were pretty close to garbage.

Here's a list of most of them:

  1. MEE RX18 ($5, or $10 with mic and one-button remote)
  2. MEE Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating In-Ear Headphones ($10)
  3. JVC HAFX8G Riptidz ($6)
  4. Panasonic drops360° Premium In-Ear Stereo Headphones RP-HJX5-A ($13...definitely not my favorite)
  5. KZ ATE S Hi-Fi IEM Sports Headphones with Super Bass ($17)
  6. KZ ATE Copper Driver Ear Hook HiFi in Ear Earphone Sport Headphones ($13)
  7. Sol Republic Jax ($25)
  8. Sony MDREX15AP ($7)

The RX18 from MEE is now one of my favorite IEMs ever. I listen to these now more than any of my $150 and up pairs. I especially love it with my Fiio X1, first gen. At $5, you have no excuse to not at least try these. I've bought a second and third pair already, just because I'm scared these will sell out or be discontinued. I've used them at home, at work, and on my exercise bike during sweaty sessions—I've had no problems so far. And if I did, I'd buy another pair with no regrets.

The MEE Hi-Fi are very bright in my opinion, and need some tip rolling to get the right sound. Straight out of my iPhone SE, they're absolutely stunning. Deep, impactful (though not fat) bass.

The JVC Riptidz are tiny buds, and a bit on the bright side. Bass is good, and I used these primarily during exercising. Bought a second pair.

The Panasonic drops360 were my least favorite, and ironically one of the more "expensive" in my little experiment. Bass extension is low, but a little muddy, and overall far too warm for my liking.

Both of the KZ sets blew me away. They both have one-button remotes, and appear well-built. Time will tell how durable they really are, but the sound relative to their pricing is incredible. I'm waiting for a third pair to arrive soon. They sound way better than they have any right to at this price.

The Sol Republic Jax had very strong bass, but a tad bloated in my opinion. Mids I could take or leave, but the highs and upper mids were just too much for me. Cord noise/microphonics is pretty atrocious, too. Along with to the Panasonic pair, these were me least favorite. They have an-line remote, but that's about all they have going for them.

The Sony MDREX15AP did not impress me the first few times I used them. One of the most polite IEMs I've ever heard—they don't take risks anywhere. But with the appropriate source, I've come to appreciate them more. Right now, I find they pair excellently with my Fiio M3 (budget DAP) and A3 (portable amp).

I hope this helps. I was surprised to find a few really good earbuds from doing this experiment—it turned out to be worth my time and modest investment. Hit me up with questions if I can help further.
