Hello Guys,

I want to upgrade from my current Headphones (a hyper X cloud 1) to some nice ones under 150€.

Do you have any recommendations for good Headphones around that price?
(They can be with open or closed backs, i dont mind)

thank you in advance!

Hi

If you like your Hyper X Cloud's but want better then i'd recommend the Beyerdynamic DT990. You can get them for 100 - 180 Euro's.
They are probably the best value for money headphone available in this price bracket.

The DT990 is a semi-open headphone and has an accurate, strong sound. Good bass all the way down to 20 hertz, strong mid frequencies and crisp, clear high frequencies. Good for watching movies and good for gaming (DT990's soundstage is the best i've heard for it's price). They sound very good with high quality recordings too.

Hmmm.... if so, they seem to be the right choice then!

Which ones would you recommend, the DT990 Pros, or the ones with 600Ohm impedance?

The version I had was the DT990 250Ohm Pro and it worked very well with my portable devices and great with my Oehlbach amp. The 600Ohm version will not work as good with portable devices but would probably be the better choice for using with an dedicated amp.

Good luck

HiFiMan HE350 if it's on Massdrop, Philips SHP9500S or Grado SR80e. Or just save up for an HE400S.

So, to finalize this thread, i decided to upgrade to a beyerdynamic dt770 pro 80 ohm!
and i need to say that it sounds quite similar to my previous hyperx cloud 1.
however the beyer is far better sound wise.... soundstage, clarity, details.... all that improved!
