Haha yeah, but better late than never lol.........................................................

thats true.

I have feeling sony wont **** up from now on giving the positive things the XZ has gotten. I don't expect huge changes withtin  a year since they already added all new tech on it. big changes usually come every 2 years. they just gotta fix all issues from previous years ie overheating etc and they'll be solid from now on. They are the company with the widest scope of knowledge and variety: camera, display, sound etc than any other. Samsung is the only one that is trully trying to topple down sony by branching out and doing everything themself in-house. apple doesn't really do much aside from software.  But even they still rely on sony sensor for their main camera.

  its been better since z2

I don't agree. My cousin had the Note 5 and I had the Z3 about 15 mos ago............when I compared a picture of the same scene he'd taken a pic of, his was sharper. And I was in Manual Mode too while he was in Auto. But fast fwd to the S7 vs. XP, and this time around IMO the Sony phone was better. Some say the Z5 at least matched Samsung, but the XP (and esp XZ I'm sure) were when Sony REALLY took over the throne.

note 5 is a 2015 flagship vs z3 which is a 2014 flagship not really an apt comparison. I have both the s5 and the z3 and my z3 takes better pictures and even people who own the s5 say so.

note 5 should be compared to the z5. And the z5 took number one spot.

Maybe. Other times I've seen photo comparisons where Samsung was better, but as 2016 at least, Sony is KING for camera.

  i can agree with that.

i feel like we've gotten to a point where most smartphoen cameras are good enough nowdays.

Also, already people saying Sonys new sensor is not necessary.

NAH, smartphone cameras are way off from being ideal, the only time where they cut it is in broad daylight, even indoors in day time the image quality is severely degraded. Video quality still has a lot to improve, the only time I've ever been impressed in a smartphone camera was 2014 note 4 overall performance, 2015 nexus 6p low light, and xz video stabilization. Even then, none of these phones can even compare to a decent point and shoot though. The sony rx100 (original) is now going for super cheap second hand, and it completely destroys every phone in picture and video quality
