Could anyone please advise whether there is a convenient way to add currently playing tracks to new / existing playlists and then edit them (rename, remove songs, etc.)?

I have Fiio x3 ii, and I am currently listening to lots of new music all the time, selecting specific tracks for further DJing. The pain with Fiio x3 playlists is that you cannot rename, export and edit them on a PC. Having these capabilities on a DAC would make my life much easier.

Thanks.

I'm debating...Black electronics always look classy, buy, I really like the clean look of the titanium, and I'm concerned about fingerprints for the black.

Have you seen the pics of the red color posted earlier in this thread?  I'd never considered red for any device before, but, I have to admit that it looks damn sexy!  Just not sure I care to wait for it.  What a luxurious "problem" to have, eh?

The Red does look cool, I was about to get the DX200 which I listened to and liked but I heard the X5 is even better and less than half the price and better UI. How can we go wrong, If I happen not to like the sound, which I doubt, I could use it like a transport to my mojo.

Hi Riley,

Yes indeed wars can vary. What to me might be a thicker, deeper bass sound can certainly be the song playing, or other functions such as PinkyPowers mentioned. The Opus is a straight forward music player, which sounds great and can be EQ'd to personal sound characteristics. It is a wonderful player.

Nothing fancy, it just plays music. The x5iii has more bells and whistles. And "to me" a warmer sound. My old ears are not perfect, so what I consider darker may actually be closer to neutral. I'm not sure.

I think you would be happy with either, but if you prefer a simple, logical to use DAP, then go with the Opus. Any sound characteristics, which you do not like, can be EQ'd out. Both are worthy of purchase. That is the great part, then modifying to meet ones personal taste gives us that personal touch.

Sorry for any confusion.

Wait... you are saying the X5-3 is warmer than the Opus? I thought you were saying the opposite before. I read your earlier post as saying Opus was the warm one. That didn't sound right to me. :D

I have done more reading on the Opus, and I am spending the evening with it (I will have it tomorrow, too).

I will probably re-eval my sound characteristic of the Opus. My FLC8S give a good bass, which can misconstrue the actual sound signature of the DAP itself. That said, it should still be good for comparison, since I am using it with both DAPs.

Bob Marley on sd tends to be deep and thick. Especially compared to Tidal streaming. THAT is probably where I came to my conclusion regarding the "dark character" of the Opus. I will probably recind that after more listening.

Sheesh, I need to listen more...:cold_sweat:

Please keep us updated with your findings on the sound.  I am eager to hear the differences.

Thank you

Will do, I am a confused camper right now. Playing Bob Marley back to back, the Opus does indeed sound more neutral to me than the x5iii. Volume matched the best I could, not as accurate as Brooko would like, but I am close (still getting my rig set up for that).

I do think I paid too close attention to the FLC's, without separating their sound characteristic from the DAP itself. Pinky and I will be getting together tomorrow, and we will sort this out.

Apologies to all for my confusion.

You are in the wrong thread if the question is about the X3ii
